Using Crates Is The Best Thing You Can Do For Your Dog

One of the best ways I found to help with the training of my Goldendoodle is with the use of a dog crate. We have a metal cage that we use as our main training tool that sits in our family room. We have it there so that our dog can feel like he is with the rest of the family when he's in it. It also acts as a great place for the dog during the day when both of us are at work and can't be home to look after him.

It provides him with a safe and happy place that he can sleep while where not home. We also have a smaller plastic crate that we keep in our bedroom that he curls up in and sleeps in the night. Another safe confined happy place that he feels comfortable in.

Both of these crates act kind of like a den, witch is what dogs and puppies love. One of the best things about the crates is that dogs usually won't go to the bathroom in their house or sleeping area.

Does anyone have any other ideas about crate training their goldendoodle that they care to share with us?
