It’s true – goldendoodle puppies are hard to resist. But sometimes it’s easy to forget that these cuddly little balls of fur grow up to be adult dogs that require a commitment of time, space and money. Doing your research and having an idea of what to expect before you bring home a cuddly goldendoodle puppy is the best way to avoid the heartache of discovering that maybe these puppies grow up to be dogs that don’t mesh with your lifestyle.

Understanding Your Dog’s Body Language

One of the great challenges of first time dog owners is getting to know their puppy’s ways of communication. This lack of understanding can lead to frustrated owners finding new homes for their dogs or, in the worst cases, abandoning them altogether. Brigitte Smith of healthierdogs.com likens ignoring your dog’s attempts at communication to living with someone that speaks another language and never bothering to learn a word of it. Communication should be a two-way street with your dog, so learning dogs body language will help make sure both you and your dog are understood.

If you've ever seen a Goldendoodle puppy you will certainly agree that they are one of the cutest looking puppies you will ever see. When we were picking out our puppy from our breeder it was hard to choose because all the puppies were really attractive.

The one we ended up choosing stood out just a little more than the others, for us anyways. The great thing about it was he just kept getting cuter as he got older.

What made you choose your fury little friend. Do you have any advice for others looking for a new goldendoodle puppy?

When we got our new little friend at 8 weeks old I don't think we were ready for what was ahead of us. We knew we were taking on a big commitment but we soon learned one very important thing - Patience!

The whole thing about raising a new goldendoodle puppy is patience. These dogs are really smart and a treasure to have around but they will test you too the limit. It's one of those things that you have to just get through.

We are just coming up on 1 year with favorite puppy and I think we can see the light, Finally.
