Hi. We have a beautiful new baby named Pirate. He has quickly stolen our hearts and taken over our lives. We love his personality. We are former poodle owners who were ready for a little change(our 16 year old standard passed away in Jan and our son took our 11 year old to his 1st apartment with him, apparently toy poodles are chick magnets!)Our daughter has a petite goldendoodle that we love so when we were lucky enough to get his baby brother we jumped! He has been a great problem solver for our empty nest syndrome.
He rarely wants to be alone and so we take him everywhere We are stopped daily and asked what kind of puppy he is. Everyone is charmed first by his looks and then by his personality. Pirate is truly a love.
Our only problem was bed time. Pirate would go a little nuts when we put him in another room, away from us, to sleep in his crate. We had weeks of sleeplessness and then someone suggested we put the crate next to our bed. We were dubious, thinking he would just scream as much only it would be louder! To our delight, however, from the moment we moved the crate, he never made another peep. We were on the edge of true exhaustion and this saved us all!
Our daughter is here for 3 weeks with her goldendoodle, Boone, and it is like they know they are brothers. What fun they are to watch and play with.
Getting this puppy has been one of the best decisions we ever made!
