hi john and everyone! i am a new doodle owner and i have to say i love it! i had a shitzu for 15 years and i had to put him down due to illness. it broke my heart and i couldnt bring myself to get another dog. after about 5 years i decided that the joy of owning a dog would out weigh the bad so i began my search for the right dog. i have two sons in their early twenties who still live at home so i wanted their opinion on the dog we should get as a family. well we couldnt really agree on any particular puppy but one day my sister in law brought over her new doodle and i fell in love. their faces are adorable! selling the goldendoodle idea to the boys didnt go over too well because they thought it was to foofi for them lol. in the end i knew that i would ultimately be the one who would be responsible for the care of the dog so i found a breeder and asked my son if i get this doodle will you love it and he said yes i guess! well my son came with me to see if we liked one(we wanted a boy and they only had 1 left) . my son wanted one that was tan in colour and straight or wavy haired. so i said if its not what you like then we will wait and before i knew it he was telling the lady we would take him lol! needless to say we all love him! it took us a week before we could agree on a name however but we welcomed EASTON to our family on mar.1 he is such a treasure!(and amazingly he is tan and wavy lol)
