This is definitely new. My husband had added some peanut butter to Lilah's dish to get her to eat. I went over to lightly scratch her back which she usually loves. That's when she growled at me : ( Probably another reason why I shouldn't leave her food out all the time. This and the jumping up on us all the time convinces me that she thinks she's the boss.
We went away for two weeks over christmas and couldn't take her with us : ( So she stayed with my husband's parents. She's used to their house bc we go over there a lot with her. They have two other dogs, but Parker is the inside dog and owns the house. I love Parker. He's a fun little maltese. But he is a grumpy old man at times that must get his way. And the whole house caters to him. I think that might be where she observed the growling bc he does that a lot about his toys and stuff. When they are fed up with Parker, they just pick him up and put him in his crate. When Lilah does something wrong, we won't be able to just pick her up and be done with it. She'll be way too big for that (and really already is).
