We have a four month old male Golden Doodle we named Bailey. It has been along time since we had a puppy. Our Golden Retriever was 14 when he died a year and a half ago. We had seen the Golden Doodle for the first time about 5 years ago and at that time knew if we ever got another dog that is what we would get.
Our family consists of myself, husband, 23 year old son who just finished his first year teaching at the High School level and our 18 year old son who will be going to college in the fall. We also have two married son's with families which include 4 grandchildren ages 1 to 5.
All of the 'kids' LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Bailey! He has been a real joy for all of us. Every thing that is said about a Golden Doodle is true. He has been easy to train, smart, eager to please, loves people, great with kids and so much fun. With our youngest graduating High School we had a party with 100 or so people and Baily couldn't have been better with all the activity. That to me was the real test for the puppy.
With all four of us working with Bailey we decided on a plan for training so we would all be consistent with him. He is very responsive and we are pleased with his development so far.
We can see the Golden Retriever in him but also the Poodle and it is just so fun. No regrets, just pure joy and the cutest dog ever.
