Sunshine is my 3 year old Golden doodle. She was 9 weeks old when I got her and she is "adorable". Wonderful temerament- always happy- sociable with everyone and every other animal- Extremely easy to train- I was able to leave her in the house alone at 5 months without a single problem- hardly ever barks- has the calm personna of the Golden (her mom) and a little goofiness of the poodle (her dad). We take 2 - 1/2 hour walks every day plus we play some frisbee or "catch" in between. I wish I could do the "photo thing" then you'd be able to see why she gets so many compliments when we're out walking but haven't a clue how to post a 'photo. Anyway I just wanted to tell my story to encourage anyone thinking of getting this kind of dog. I have heard of other doodles that have been "difficult" and I think it is a little more than luck that makes the difference. I believe the key to getting the kind of dog suitable to you is: knowing what to expect (so reading up about different breeds is a good idea) then finding a good breeder- that's hard because really how does one know?? I chose Swiss Ridge Kennels- mostly because I was impressed by the presentation on their website and lucky for me I was not at all disappointed.
