I know there are alot of different types of beds out there for pet owners to consider.... I sometime back had been looking for the perfect bed for my BC 14yr old who had issues with arthritis in her hinglegs and being able to get up off the ground.
I had heard of the "Kuranda" Beds- http://kuranda.com/... and thought i'd check them out. They are a bit pricey but it made a complete world of difference. These are the beds one often sees in the various rescue, shelters. It was the perfect size,off the ground.. so there was no pressure on her joints no matter how thick the foam/ bedding -she always struggled to get up and was stiff. After getting this bed... she no longer was stiff on gettnig up and it was also 6 inches off the floor -so that also helped in her getting up. I know most posters have younger dogs... but i haven't seen any posts on this brand... and after getting one, how easy it is to clean, being able to have it outside {we used when going camping}...etc... i would highly reccomend this to anyone... for pet needs after surgery,,hip issues or if they are getting older. My doodle loves laying on this bed also.
