Are there differences in the breed, based on who's the sire?

Hi All,

I'm getting a goldendoodle, and wanted to know the difference (if there really is one) when the golden retriever is the sire, versus when the poodle is the sire. Some breeders have the poodle as the mom, whereas others have the golden as the mom. Why?
