Hi everyone! This is my first offical post on the website and I am hoping for your expertise.
I have a 6lb mini goldendoodle, 13weeks old. She does great inside the house and in the backyard, and even on a leash. We live in a small gated community of about 20 homes. She has no problem walking around on the leash inside the gates, but once we try to take her for a walk outside the gates, she gets freaked out. We live at the end of a quiet street so it can't be the traffic that she is scared of.
She will walk a few steps then sit down, we will call her and she will walk a little more, but then she will just sit down again as if she doesn't want to go any further. It doesnt seem to be as big an issue at night as it is during the day, which is very strange.
Any thoughts, advice or suggestions?
